Route 7 to Powers Rd (Rt 161) and back
Got the long ride in this am before the rain storms hit. Didn't feel great on the way out but got better as the miles went by. Need to start giving some serious thought to hydration needs as the rides get longer. 24oz was just enough for this ride. Pace was generally a little faster than what is recorded. Stiff headwind on the way back slowed me down a bit but not nearly as much as the city bus I kept getting stuck behind. Luckily the winds kept me from dying from exhaust fumes. May try to get in a run or some tennis this afternoon but the storms should hit here any time now.

Recover from 11 hour pub crawl and dance festivities.

Mental health day part 3...
Today's workout will consist of a 5 hour pub crawl followed by several hours of dancing.
The real workouts will resume tomorrow with a 20-mile bike ride.

The weather was great and we had a wonderful 5.5 mile hike in the Catskills. This was my first real hike since I started endurance training in January and the results were obvious. My asthmatic lungs didn't give me a single problem. I was bounding up rock covered hills that used to require a slow pace and lots of breaks. I could have hiked several more miles but we were running out of water and daylight. Lovely picnic dinner by the roaring falls. Only say one other person all day.

My attitude has been piss poor lately.
Need to lighten up. It's freakin summer after all!
Long hike in the catskills planned for tomorrow. Please, oh please don't let it rain!
