Beautiful day for a ride. Decided to try some new roads to add some more hills. Got a bit lost but didn't care. Came roaring down a hill towards a train crossing and had to stop as a train approached. It crawled passed me...took about 4 or 5 minutes...then stopped, reversed, and went back the way it came. I stood there baking in the sun for about 10 minutes watching this with a baffled look on my face.

Hills, hills, and more hills. Rode up Murray Hill for the first time. I can get up to 35mph going down it so that is usually more fun than going up it. Was approaching the top when I passed a woman walking down the hill. She said "great work" as I passed her.

Too much to do today, time for a yellow square. Hopefully it'll give my right thumb some time to heal up too. This is the craziest injury. My thumb has been sore for over a week. I think it is from squeezing my waterbottle and the handlebar on the bike. I guess it was a weak and wimpy thumb and the last few weeks have been the thumb olympics with all the riding. I do have the smallest hands of any normal sized human being so that's my excuse.
Anyway, have to take a trip tomorrow and wont be back till late Sunday afternoon. The plan is to go for as long a ride as possible both before I leave Friday morning and as soon as I get back Sunday afternoon. I'm going to try to get to the beach on Saturday for an OWS but if not I'll go for a run. Of course it is supposed to rain from tonight until Monday so this may all be washed out but otherwise it is a good plan, me thinks.
