Well, I finally made up my mind and now plan to do the Half at B2B and race the Full at BoneIsland in January. I don't know if I was ready to begin a real iron build for a race in mid-Oct...Delaying the 140.6 until January lets me putter around in June and July and the serious work can start in August. It also means some shorter races I've done in the past - Callaway Int'l, Rich.B.Russell - can get back onto the calendar. I'd really like to rebuild the engine for top-end, and training for IM is contraindicated for that. I still don't know what trying to peak in late December is going to look like, but if I can convince myself this is something new, it might keep my head in the game for another build cycle. I'll worry about details later...

I made it to eight today and I feel like I can get to 10 but I'll be gone the next two Saturdays, so we'll see how much fitness I lose on BRAG(lol - it's 450miles of riding in the hills) and pick it back up on return.

Rode to work - third year in a row for the Friday before Memorial Day. Pace is misleading because the lights all the way through down/mid-town are against you - At least 5mins of waiting at traffic signals. That aside, I love doing this ride; besides getting to leave my car in the garage, it's a nice training session that's out the way before the day really gets too old...

My legs are not in race shape AT ALL, and getting some time on my velociped would probably be a good idea. We leave for BRAG next Sunday(yay!) so a big chunk of mileage is on the horizon.
