wanted to swim a 1:15 but couldn't pull it off against current. did not push very hard. felt like I could keep going after swim was over so i didn't give it all i had.

St Anthony's Triathlon 1.5K swim / 40K bike / 10K run

plan was to go hard on swim and bike and hold on for run. well, went super hard on swim and beat last year's time by 8 minutes!! this was the most crowded swim i have done with bodies everywhere. caught up with swimmers from at least 3 waves in front of mine. very crowded. came out of water and knew i had swam pretty well but was stoked with 25 minutes =). tried to hustle thru T1 but i'm just not very quick in transitions. felt very dizzy... i had puked in the warm up swim so i don't know what was going on with me?? hopped on bike and tried to go as fast as i could. didn't take turns very well and had trouble being aggressive with a crowded course. just need more experience. drank 1 aero bottle of gatorade + carbo pro and 1 aero bottle of water. felt very hot and thirsty. improved from last year by 5 minutes. again tried to rush thru T2 and think i did OK. felt pretty icky on run. i have not been running much and it shows. just tried to hug 10:00/miles and get it done. wanted to go faster but would have puked if i did. no idea what caused this?? took 1 endurolyte on run. was slow but just need to work on my running again which will fall into place as long as i'm healthy. overall - i'm super happy with my swim (the wetsuit worked great); happy with my bike but want to improve to 19+ mph; disappointed in the run but sort of expected it. still makes me a little sad b/c i always want to do well in the run and haven't been able to lately. plan to pick up the training and get the run back up to par.

beat last year's time by 9:41 and finally broke 3 hours. if run had been good, could have broke 2:50. next year i'll do it.
