April 2
Nice long ride. Good pace until picking up Kalkus in foothills. Did a few monster climbs with him and nearly killed him. Then pedaled home. Not trying to set any speed records, just getting my tail back in the saddle.
April Fools Day, followed by Daylight Savings Time... now there's a one, two punch for you. As long as we're losing an hour, I think I'll sleep an extra two....

March 31
First 5k at 6:35 pace, then finished with a mile over 7mm.
Head cold now blazing in Dallas. Rats. Home tonight.
Thus ends a pretty weak month of winter training, due in no small part to half of March being spent in Africa. Need to begin to get a little bit more serious about all of this in April if I'm going to satisfy friend's requests to pace everyone at 45min for the BolderBoulder, and be ready for all of the other outdoor summer chaos.

Second day of throat tickle. Uh oh. Started day with Health Fair diagnostics test and ended it in attorney's offices, so the day begins and ends with blood-letting.

Nice easy swim during "open swim" time, allowing me to dodge disabled and obese swimmers, sort of like open water buoys.
Great lunch today with Barry Siff talking about Network with Dave Scott, etc....
