Finished the 24 hours of triathlon at 8am and stuck around for the awards ceremony.  I finished as the second overall male in the solo division, and won a Newton towel!  Hurray!

Managed to sleep about an hour in the day.  Took a nice ice bath.  Had a burger at Chopper's with Kevin.  Went to bed really early (like, 7pm)....

24HOT

Finished 2nd overall male in this amazing race: the 24 Hours of Triathlon.  It's been a tough year for me, so finishing this race at all was a huge accomplishment.  Coming in second made me just about cry.  I wasn't trying to do well, just trying to have fun and see what my old body could do.  I'm really glad that I had this opportunity, and now Ironman doesn't look so long.

Hard to believe that I knocked off about 225 miles -- 180 biking, 41 running, 4 swimming.  That's just not even something I can imagine, since my longest previous continuous bike was only 120 miles, and I've never run further than a 26.2 mile marathon.

I've lost my freakin' mind!

One lap Cherry Creek Res.

Saw a sign out at Cherry Creek Reservoir saying to watch for road closures this weekend related to the "24 Hours of Triathlon."  That sounded cool, and I've been concerned about my lack of training, so I decided to sign up.  Managed to get in, and I'll be racing solo for a continuous 24 hours this Saturday!
