Day 851 flow peaceful mind and a relaxed body.

And so taper begins. Taking a slightly different approach that emphasizes rest and recovery. Yearly mileage is down by about 100 from last year, but finished month with about 211, which is more than last year. I think key to good race this year is to maximize the miles with a good stomach and not go into race day with fatigued legs (anything else) in past I have tried to maximize miles, this year, I am relying on the base I have built the last three years (and the experience built too.)

Second course run from Nordic to Emma Carlin and back. Plan was to go into this slightly fatigued and try to push second half. Missed negative split by 7 seconds.
Bpth of my course runs were slower than last year, but oddly enough, I am more confident. Of course I won't be near this pace on race day, but I don't need to be.
