Afternoon run. still felt pretty good

Plan calls for 9. woke up late this morning , so all I had time for. Much different story than last monday. Its not that I'm not feeling anything in the glute/hammie, but only caused minimal issues. Will try to get rest of days miles this afternoon or maybe tomorrow morning.

I have a race this weekend and while it is not an "A" race, mentally, a good performance is a must for me.

This felt surprisingly good and I meet some great new friends. Walked the uphills and ran the pace with my new running mates. Did the first two loops with a couple of folks that were doing 13. Then did the last loop with two others that were running 20. The heat and humidity were starting to get to me and calves were cramping toward the end. Still had 1.5 miles to go at end of loop, but decided that calves and slight light-headedness was a sign to shut it down. In the big picture, probably a smart move. Miles went by much faster with company. Miss that element of running.
