HILLS for a special birthday treat I headed toward Lapham peak for some hills. Stopped at a road near by that is a steep hill. At the top is an entrance to Lapham Peak trail. Little trail along ridge that takes you to tower. So workout was as follows:
W/U ridge to tower and back (approx 1.4 miles)
2 hill repeats on Government Hill Road. (.4 each way) 1. 3:34 down, 4:12 up; 2. 3:35 down, 4:09 up.

Then I moved back into Lapham peak for two more hill repeats
1. "big slide" Hill (about .5 miles each way) 4:29 down, 5:30 up
(climbed the observation tower before next hill)
2. "South Hill" trail (little longer than big slide) 4:55 down, 6:00 up

cool down on ridge back to car.

Tried to head out early to beat humidity and heat, but my 7 am start was about 2 hours too late. Took Glacier trail out to Dousman so I could refill my bottles out there. (drank a total of 8, which was probably 1 or 2 short). Kept telling myself that pace didn't really matter and just took it easy. Was completely drenched when I got back. Legs felt pretty good, with going 28 miles in less than 24 hours.

Maple to Lake country trail then about 2 miles on trail in Nagawicki park to the Lake and then back. VERY Humid!

squeezed this one in between rain events. Running around the rural road near my resort in Egg Harbor. As always, wish I had more time. Of course, distance is an estimate, I suspect, it was actually a bit further.

ended up as a rest day. shame as it was beautiful. Headed up to Door County for conference and would have loved to do something here, but not in schedule. Will try tomorrow, if it is not raining.
