No workout today for Bob. I wanted to get a swim in before the lake starts getting cold but that didn't happen. Then I hoped to maybe get a ride in to see if I could make the noise in my rear wheel return but that didn't happen. My last chance for a workout came when I took my Mercedes that I have a "MAKE OFFER" sign on over to a local garage to have a coil spring put on. I got all my running gear on and was planning on running back home when the garage owner said they don't have the right spring compressor to do the work. Ugh!! Oh well, another day off to recover. I'll probably get a walk in at work tonight. :)
One thing I didn't get a chance to do this week is thank my coach Kevin Crossman of www.T3Coaching.net for all of the workouts and readjustments he made throughout this year because of my crazy schedule. Looking back at my bike split at IMKY I have to give Kevin credit. I did not have anywhere near the volume on the bike this year as I did last year yet I had a faster bike split with less effort on a harder course. I feel that this really demonstrates the value of hiring a coach and putting trust in that coach. It takes all the pressure off me wondering if I'm doing enough or too much, what to do for different intervals, etc. I know Kevin's ears were ringing during some of my interval sets and my legs were ready to fall off. After my ride last weekend I can say that those painful sets really paid off. Thanks Kevin!!

Walk at work.
Nice easy spin around the TT loop a couple times. After the first loop I had to make some handlebar adjustments. Felt great to spin the legs out. I wish I had done that Monday, I'll have to remember that for next time. :)

I borrowed my mom's car yesterday and had to return it. I decided to run home from her house. Easy pace and legs felt great. Karen picked me up about 2 miles from home. I figured an hour was a good enough workout.
Power walk around the hospital with another tech. His legs were so long I felt like a Dachshund!

I'm still stuck in Louisville. Flight got cancelled and I get in later this afternoon. Ugh!! Hope to have the race report done later today.
6:19 pm - Finally back in Binghamton. Of course I work until 11 pm tonight. I am really looking forward to a run or something tomorrow. My stomach still isn't right but it's probably from all the restaurant foods. Ugh! It will feel good to sleep in my own bed tonight!

Thanks for all the inspires and well wishes yesterday. I was thinking of the IMKY thread during my "run" and wished I had a phone to say that I was fine, just taking what the day handed me and doing a lot of walking. I had a lot of fun walking and jogging with BTers.
I'll be writing the race report in the airport today. Right now I need to pack up my bike and get down to the awards banquet. Thanks again everyone!!

I was able to squeeze a little run in this morning.Nothing too substantial, just mixed a few different paces each mile. I don't know if I really want to say this but the new track and artificial turf football field are done and look very nice! :)
I suspect, gulp!, that I'll be having some track time in the near future.
