2013: My Second Season

April 28

Final busy weekend at work.  Spent 13 hours at the barn the last 2 days.  Horses ship to Canada tomorrow night.  Taking a quick trip home (Minnesota) and then I will only be working mornings when I return.  Can't wait to get back in the grind.  Going to bring my bike with me and looking forward to checking out some brand new bike routes while I'm up there!

Triathlon club's time trial prologue. 9 of us showed up and they started one person every 30 seconds. Course was a 4.2 mile, rolling, smooth loop times two. I have never done much speedwork on the bike so it was a challenge. My pace was pretty even; most miles close to my 21.5 avg. I finished 1st of the four girls. Most people had tri bikes. This will be a monthly series that officially begins in 2 weeks, when they will be awarding points. It will also be 3 loops for a total of 12.6 miles. I have to say this hurt, and I tried Ironman electrolyte drink for the first time which resulted in tummy pains. But hey, already looking fwd to the next one!
