Open water swim with local tri club. Didn't feel well all day (upset stomach and didn't eat) so felt weak tonight at swim. But still managed it and enjoyed. Need to work on swim fitness...

Had a nervous moment towards end of swim when calves and feet began to threaten to cramp.  I think it was because I didn't eat or drink anything besides a little breakfast early this morning and the swim was at 6:30pm.  Lesson learned.

Time trial plus warm up and ten mile cool down. Finally hit 23.0 for the tt according to Garmin!

First time on the new race wheels going full speed.  They definitely felt smoother and a little faster.  There was a heavy crosswind, so I don't think I reaped their full effect.  Many times were slower across the board, so I was happy with my tt PR, even if was only by seven seconds!

Run SUCKAGE. Planned to do a ten miler in a beautiful forest we read about. Arrived and discovered steep, weedy trails that were basically unrunnable. We tried but could not persevere so headed to Mexican restaurant

Very solid ride today- I'm happy with it. Rode with DH and a local group. Lots of miles were in the 22-25mph range, but had some hills and recoveries to balance it out. Fueled with sports beans, one honey stinger and water.

OK, here's my quick vent.  I felt freakin' awesome on this ride and was hanging with the front few guys and doing it easy.  When we stopped halfway through, two of them gave me some crap about my paceline/ pulling tactics.  Now, DH and i ride with a group back home often and have TONS of experience with pacelines.  I can't help but feel like I was targeted for either being a newcomer or the only girl.  Needless to say, I stayed back behind them for the remainder of the ride and just threw in some intervals of my own to keep the effort up.  My observation:  in the world of pure cyclists you just don't see as many genuinely nice people as in the world of runners.  Not sure why that is...

Oh, and on a lighter note I tried the Adamo road saddle today.  What a world of difference being pain-free makes!
