I felt really solid until about 2:30 into this ride. I eased off the hydration a bit, but kept the intervals intact. It was pretty cold starting out, but I dressed perfectly for the long ride. I never got overheated, yet could still feel my fingers and toes almost the whole time. YAY!
My quads are pretty shot now. That's where the race seems to have manifested itself from yesterday.

Had a great race! Arguably one of my strongest efforts physically and mentally. I'll put details in the RR.
Pre-race warmup. Getting loose and adding in a few pickups. Then back to the start line to find a spot.
60 min spin, light on the pedals, just to flush out the legs. focused on getting well hydrated again. I'm gonna need it for tomorrow!
7:15AM - I am checking the weather. It could be a little rainy, and in the 40's. I'm attempting to dress for warmer temps so that I don't get too toasty during the race. This will be a challenge. I've already had my oatmeal this morning, and I'm feeling pretty good.

Okay, that was kinda rough. Man I felt slow today. Didn't hit my intervals. Plus, I struggled with my goddam goggles. They were either foggy, or coming loose. That was frustrating. About all I can say for this swim... is that it's DONE! And sometimes, that's what matters most.

THANK YOU to all my BT friends for the props on my race and training. I really appreciate that you check in on me and inspire me. It definitely keeps me going. You guys rock!
Also, it has to be noted today that my knee feels better now than it has since September 14th. it's really weird. I expected pain and soreness. I anticipated some extra inflammation and aches. But it's not there. My knee feels GOOD! :) Fingers crossed that it stays this way.
