The boy spent the night with his mom.  I hope she gets him to school on time!

We are trying to find a home for the puppy.  This makes me sad.  I have grown attached to her despite her puppy madness and mess in my house.  She's just so sweet and very smart.  She is going to be a great dog. Sigh

Crossfit day, finally!  I purposely took off a few extra days to let my left shoulder have a break.  it's still a little tender but better overall and I am about to go crazy so I am going today and Friday and maybe Saturday.  I have been in a huge funk, for many reasons, and I am hoping this will help.  Clean eating yesterday has helped too so I will just try to keep it going.  I am seriously thinking about doing another whole30 to just get back on track.

Storms were big yesterday but it was mostly just a lot of rain and wind in my area.  Still raining this morning but I think it's supposed to clear out.  I hope so, I have more gardening to do!

A little list of things to get done:

Breakfast: green eggs and ham (kale, green onions, bacon, scrambled with eggs)
Lunch: pot roast with carrots, kale and green beans,  ketchup with worcestershire sauce and blk pepper to dip my meat in
Supper: roasted chicken breast with sauteed squash and onions, forkfuls of mac/cheese, 1 ginger cookie
Snacks: handful of walnuts, apple with almond butter

My carb cravings are almost overwhelming!  I am holding on by a thread to my paleo promises.  More water, more sleep.

March 20

Storms are approaching and will be hanging out for a couple of hours this morning.  I have already moved a few loose items off the back patio to keep them from becoming projectiles for the big windows.  I am just hoping we can get to the bus stop before it all breaks loose.

Today is housekeeping, napping day!  I need to get some good, uninterrupted sleep!  These hot flashes are hurting me. I am thinking I will sleep through the storms then get up and do the house work and other things that need to be completed.  I have a conference call at 10:30 that I can't miss so that will be the nap cutoff time.

March 19

Interview day!  I was 45 minutes early but I took a book, found a seat and waited it out. Traffic in Houston is crazy and I didn't want to be late over some crazy fender bender.

It went well overall.  The guy is "intrigued" by my background and wanted to meet me and hear about my experiences. I appreciated his interest greatly since I am not a typical applicant for this type of position.  We'll see what happens. I have upward of three weeks to wait it out. He's actively interviewing so I am not naive enough to think that I have this in the bag.  But it went really well and he seemed genuinely interested. 

Ugh. I need a nap.

 

March 18

All is better in the house.  We handled the issues yesterday and are moving on.  I spent the evening with my girlfriends prepping for a baby shower.  It was fun but I was done and ready for home at 10 but stayed until midnight!  The baby shower was at 3p today.  It was great and she got a ton of great and cute stuff. I am tired now and just ready for that little girl to get here. 10 more weeks.

My interview is tomorrow.  I am stressing of course and continue to waffle back and forth about how little I really have to offer them.  They are really looking for someone with more construction credentials.  I will get through it and just hope for the best.  It will be a tough sale but all I can go is put it out there and hope for the best.

I ate too much crap this weekend.  I am feeling like shit for it too!  I am seriously considering another whole30!

Wish me luck, I am going to need it!!

March 17

We are suffering communication issues in my house today.  The bell has rung and we have taken refuse in opposite corners.  Somedays it's just not worth the effort to clear the air.  Maybe later.

Housekeeping today.  My daughter is here to take a few more of her items off to her place.  Plus a few items of mine that I am giving to her.  We have several things to get done before she can have them, like box up all the crap that i have sitting on a desk in my bedroom, plus the things I have on a dinette table in my craft room. I will be happy to have it gone so I can move ahead with the other things that need to be done around here.  I am so tired of things being half done!  This is part of the issues the man and I are having. He has an agenda and I have an agenda and right now these two missions are polar opposites.  Hopefully, sometime today we can bring these things closer together.  Of course, that means talking to one another and right now that's not happening!

So, I hope you are having a great day.  For me, I would just like to get through this one without any more drama.

Today will be 1/2 for me and 1/2 for the boy.  He's decided that he would like to go to Space Center Houston for the afternoon.  So, I signed up for another round of crossfit today.  I will have enough time after to cleanup then pick up the boy.  This is spring break and he's not wanted to do anything else but karate this week.  I had hoped to get him to the Museum of Natural Sciences but he decided that museums were too boring and that it was much more fun to play dodgeball at karate.  I am looking forward to the outing though it will be crowded and crazy I am certain.  I will just have to pack some patience.

The garden is coming together and my seedlings are up and looking for the sun.  They should be ready for planting later this weekend or early next week.  I am so looking forward to having our own veggies.

I must get a handle on my food intake.  I have been craving and consuming carbs like crazy this week.  Pretzels and nutella being my favorite vice right now.  Too much stress, not enough sleep, maybe not enough water, all working against me.  Perimenopause is keeping me from sleeping through the night since hot flashes are constant.  Maybe I can take a nap or two this weekend while hubs rests.

March 15

Today, hmmmmm!  I will work, on my existing business, for a little bit.  I must also take care of a few details for the upcoming meeting in Austin.  After that, I will get back outside and work in the yard and garden beds.  The front flower beds need a serious cleaning out.  I may go get a truck load of mulch. 

My interview has been moved to Monday.  Now I will spend the weekend fretting over it!  I was all pumped up and ready to go for Friday!  I guess now I will send an email to my friend at MDA and get some background on the group and the department.  Information is power!
