"Live the life you have imagined"
April 12
April 11
I was signed up for crossfit today but I think another day of rest for the back before I jump back in there. I will do some stuff today just at the house, hopefully, nothing that my back can't handle. Plus I need to do some housework today; Easter has passed and the bunnies living under my furniture need to go!
I did manage to get a bit of work off my desk yesterday. Some effort still needs to be put forth on my taxes and quick books. It remains my least favorite activity but I will try my best to push through it.
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with sausage
Lunch: turkey meatloaf with sunshine sauce, steamed cauliflower
Supper: swiss steak over mashed cauliflower, collards
Snacks: nuts, too many, bowl of strawberries with coconut milk, pineapple juice, and honey

I tweaked my back at crossfit yesterday and it's not good. Most movement is painful especially any twisting or turning. Ice and ib all afternoon helped a little but was not the whole answer. Sleep was interesting; well just getting into the bed was a challenge let alone rolling over or pulling a leg up. I finally got out of the bed at 4:30. I think today will be a trip to the Dr. My back is feeling better today overall. More ice, more ibuprofen, more stretching.
Still lots of work to do today. Yesterday was really a bust but I really need to get some things completed. We'll see what I can manage.
Hubby took the day off and just rested yesterday. We picked up another drug change from the dr's office. They are making adjustments to keep him on the protocol as long as possible. We are just keeping our fingers crossed at this point.
Ok, so I am off to make my way through this day.
Breakfast: scotch eggs, bora bora fireballs with sunshine sauce
Lunch: tabouli, stuffed grape leaves and asparagus

Tough Monday!
warm of course,then this:
800M run
200 flutter kicks
WOD:
30-25-20-15-10-5
double unders
kbs, 30#
wt'd situp, 10kg
I miss counted somewhere along the way so I believe I repeated the 20 count twice. I did not finish the full session, only made it through 15 ct round. 25 minutes
I did all the rope work as double unders. I am stringing about 4-5 in a row now so I just went with that.
Crossfit this morning. I tweaked my back somewhere along the way so it's been a bit painful to sit at my desk. Ibuprofin has not touched it so I might need to lay down this afternoon. I didn't finish the wod today, first time since I started. I screwed up the counting and repeated a round. My back was hurting so I just called it at 25 minutes. Ugh!
I have a ton of stuff to get off my desk in the next few days. My manufacturer may have identified another independent rep so my territory is going to be covered soon by another. I need to get all the updates completed this week. Life is moving forward.
Hubs is not feeling well. They are making adjustments to his meds to allow him to remain on the new treatment protocol. He's been a big anemic and they can't let it get any worse or he gets kicked out of the program. Hopefully, these new med adjustments will do the trick. It's been a tough weekend.
Breakfast: scotch eggs, bora bora fireballs with sunshine sauce
Lunch: stuffed grape leaves and tabouli (these are rice based but they are delish and homemade; the tabouli has quinoa so it's not all paleo today!)
Supper: roast with veggies

Have a wonderful day, whatever your beliefs!
Today is a cookup day. I have several things to prep for our Easter dinner plus food for the week. I am trying a couple of new things as well. I found some great herbs and greens at the market yesterday so I will incorporate all of that into today's creations.
I must also work on some Personal Paleo stuff today. I have a friend who is still very interested in me cooking for him and his roommate. He wants me to put together a menu for him. I have a form that I am developing to go along with that so I will understand what types of food he likes, dislikes, degree of paleo, gluten free, and on and on. It's in handwritten form at the moment. I am excited and oh so nervous about this little adventure.
So, I am off to the kitchen for the next couple of hours. If the weather is great where you are, get out in it!!!

I am back from Austin. It was a great meeting! Lots of positive feedback about the program, so I am very happy. There were a few glitches but all in all it worked out. They will need to adjust a few things for next year. But my cochair is now the chair for the program committee so she will be a step ahead of where we started for this meeting.
I had a good meeting with my event planner/chef friend in Austin. We made some plans and set a date for my "jump start" paleo party idea. I have some work to do over the next couple of weeks but all in all I think we have a good start.
The other news; I have another job interview on Friday, the 13th. This came out of my last interview at MD Anderson. It's with there space planning group. The second interviewer mentioned them during my first round that I would be a great fit for this group. I applied on Monday, they called my on Tuesday. We'll see.
So, I am off to crossfit! It's been a few days and I am ready for a workout. I will stop off at the farmer's market after as well. We don't really have any Easter plans but there are always the last minute plans that seem to pop up.
Breakfast: avocado and 2 boiled eggs
Lunch: boiled egg, coconut water with pomegranite and acai berries, pecans

Now I am out to clean up the mess with the blower!
Ugh, my back is better but it's still not happy. I may just take off until Saturday.
I reached out to a network friend yesterday asking for a reference for my upcoming interview. Turns out she's great friends with the interviewers and said to drop her name. She knows they have a vivarium renovation coming up and thinks I will be a good addition to their team. I am feeling good about this one!
Cleaning my house today, as much of it as possible. I have some cooking to do today as well. Work stuff will be secondary today.
