Trainer ride.
I have a full day planned to make up for losing an entire day yesterday. Cooking, cleaning, yardwork, on and on.
Of course, my plans will only last until my daughter calls needing a ride to get to the rental car company or whatever we need to do to deal with the aftermath. My daughter spent her day tracking down the other insurance folks to get the rental car situation set up. It took all day and two calls to the adjustors supervisor to get the guy to return a call. We are trying to work through his insurance but it's beginning to look like we will just have to pay the deductible and let our insurance run with it. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.
So, I am off to get started.
Breakfast: fried egg over diced tomato and bacon
Lunch: tuna salad with toms, avocado, green onions
Supper: pork ribs with apples and sweet potatoes, mashed cauli, sauteed squash and onions

The day was moving in the right direction; crossfit, hobby lobby, kohl's, then my daughter called. She had another flat, no spare since she was riding on her donut and would need a ride after the tow truck picked her up. So, I finish up my shopping, begin the check out process and she calls back, after getting back in the car to get the tow truck underway, her car was hit from behind by a guy who didn't see her flashers and got caught in the lane by traffic. He did swerve to miss her but caught the left rear and shoved the car about 50 ft foward and into the other lane. My daughter is ok, whiplash of course but alive. If she had been outside the car she would have been dead. There was another car, an off duty sherrif, who saw her go flat on the interstate and was actually backing up to her car when she looked up and noticed the other driver behind her was not going to make it. She layed on the horn and he quickly pulled forward to avoid the collision. What a mess! It took 2-3 hrs to wait on the state troopers to get there to actually write up the report. Pearland police were on scene pretty quickly, thankfully, to keep the now stranded cars and people safe from the crazy ass drivers exiting the interstate. I took her to the er so she's been checked out and medicated. She's stiff and sore but will be ok. Now we just have to wait to see what they do about the car. We are working to get rid of this car and in fact, she had just come from looking at cars when this all happened. Maybe they will just total it and we can just start fresh.

On the trainer. No mojo, just couldn't get myself to stay in the saddle.
Wow, I am sore today! Looks like I will need to do something to work it out. My plan is to start riding my bike, probably on the trainer, on my crossfit off days. Registration for Bike the bay is May 1. The ride is now 180 miles over two days; start and stop point are now the same so it increased the ride a bit. Plus I am going to add push ups, sit ups, tricep dips just to keep this going as well. my box is working up a group to do a competion in October, the same weekend as bike the bay!!! Decisions, decisions!
Extension is being filed. Now I just need to find the motivation to finish up the data entry and get it all handed over to the cpa. I have a few errands to run today as well as a number of household chores that need to be completed. Since I am now the primary yard person, I need to trim the hedges and weedeat. It's going to be a cooler day today so I would like to get it done.
We are waiting on the viral load results. Please let them be down!
Breakfast: liver and onions, yellow squash
Lunch: chicken and kale soup

Rainy, stormy day. I got out early for my workout then hung out for minute with some folks at the gym. Nice way to start the day. I had a pretty good day at crossfit today. I finished 75 double unders, 4-6 unbroken in a row. Then I managed to do 3 t2b today! I was thrilled. The rest of my efforts were close but I didn't touch the bar. Very proud of my efforts today!!!
Again, it's very wet here today and I don't want to do anything but take a nap. Hubby came home from work, light headed and has gone to bed. They have changed up his meds but it doesn't seem to be giving him any relief. We find out if the new drug is working this week. If so, they are going to try to figure out the meds to keep him on the protocol as long as possible. Right now, I think he feels like stopping. I am worried about him! I can only hope that the drug has been effective against the virus and the dr can make enough adjustments to keep him going until the 12 week period is up.
I filed an extension for my taxes. I am a lazy ass when it comes to this stuff and I never did get all the data entered for 2011. I must do it this week. Anyway, I will pay my quarterly chunck and move on for now.
Breakfast: leftover ribeye with onion and jalapeno, topped with a fried egg
Lunch: grilled chicken strips with mango/avocado salsa, tomato, onion salad with white balsalmic vinegar and fresh basil
Supper: liver and onions, stewed squash, fresh tomato
Snacks: pecans and walnuts, mandarin organges

Today is the boys birthday. Since 1 pm, it's been a bit of a mad house around here. 8-10 kids between 5-12 yr olds decended upon my home. Overall, it's not been too bad, outside has been a great option!!! Plus the icecream truck came by, which offered a minor reprieve as well. Some of the kids have left but there will be a few of them through till 5 pm. I might survive.
I did manage to get some housework done before the onslaught but it will be to do over once they all get out of here. It's always a good motivator to have company come over. I have a little laundry to finish up as well but I will manage that this evening when it's all over.
Breakfast: fried egg with bacon and sausage
Lunch: hamburger with kale leftovers, plus a single patty with tomato, onion, dill pickles with spicy mayo, plus a piece of chocolate cake
