Day off.  3rd graders audition for Piano and Voice to a public performing arts school, one of the 10 highest rated schools in our county.  He nailed it.  I think he got it the program.  We won't know for 3-4 weeks though.  It would be for 4-8th grade.

Knee feels better. Tuesday I helped with PTA and watched the kids in the gym...I happened to be 'it' in freezetag...for an hour...in my sandals. I got quite a workout though at 37 my age is showing...that or I was so left knee dominate in starting and stopping - that left it a little tender.

I have had a pretty rock-solid, consistent January.  The workouts didn't exceed 30 minutes each...but I added strength and I had few days off.  I feel good.  Strength training really seems to help keep sickness at bay...that or it's all in my mind.  I'm being very cautious in building up running volume...I have months before it's nice outside to run longer.  For now, I have no issue keeping things shorter but consistent.  I think it will payoff in spades later this year in injury prevention.  This is the first time I have swallowed my pride and am comfortable keeping things 20-30 minutes on the run.
