Finding Balance

TODAY AT BT:
Spent the morning printing out new designs of BT for my office wall to make notes for the next round of revisions. Of them were the new training plan view, personal profile page and the new albums page.
We next discussed the membership pages and primarily the re-skinning of the forums. I was on the phone for 2 hours. We are close to done with the bulk pages.

Off day.
Contraception should absolutely be an out of pocket expense - not a benefit of health insurance. It's a lifestyle choice, not a medical emergency. Last year my family premiums were reaching mid $700's/month. It wasn't sustainable. We went with an even more high deductible plan for half that...we thought we were doing good until only 2 months on the new plan we got a notice that our premiums were increasing...AGAIN. Thanks Obamacare ...not. Contraception mandates will only serve to increase my families premiums that are now again, half a grand per month. Contraception is a lifestyle choice. Like Rush L. said, I am not paying for you to have sex.
I like to think that I am a responsible citizen. I man'd up and took my wife off of costly and potentially dangerous birth control to get MY tubes tied. This was out of pocket. And for a guy, not that expensive. I never regretted it for the peace of mind, getting my wife off of meds and the better experience. This may be a stereotype of mine, but it seems like the woman ends up with dealing with birth control...having the guy deal with it is much, much cheaper and safer if getting snipped. Having the guy get snipped, if married, is an easy out of pocket expense. Though this probably only applies to those married people that have had kids and are done. If you are single, or married without kids...I shouldn't be expected to pay for you to have sex. What next...am I going to be buying you drinks?
This election is starting to fall short of the main ideas...economy, national security, balanced budget and instead focusing on sociological talking points that will do nothing to employ people.

TODAY AT BT:
Spent about an hour on the phone with the redesigner on the ALBUMS. Yes, the albums.
Have you ever said, "no" when asked to share a swim lane?...
I truly swim in a special place. Up until recently I swam around 1pm...pretty much a time guaranteeing me a lane to myself. The last month my kids started swim lessons...at 5:30pm. So I swim while they are waiting/starting their lessons - optimal post rush hour time with lots of people.
Unless Cuyahoga Falls is not blessed with a ton of triathlete/swim talent, there is never any circle swimming that is necessary. At the new 5:30 time I at most have to share a lane 25% of the time - but it's not circle, it's 'this is my side, that is yours'. No problems. I have become an expert at hugging the line...so much so that I'm virtually invisible to my lane mate.
If I see someone on deck waiting for an open lane, I have no problems asking them to share with me - not knowing their abilities. It's karma. I am in that same position too and, like most, have just enough time for a workout and then rush to pick the kids up. I am truly grateful for others allowing me to share lanes.
Yes, it appears that I swim in the land of milk and honey. Though maybe that is why I am so slow...not forced to swim in the masters lanes and not forced to circle swim (group ride-ish) - I'm definitely not 'pushed'...but then I am not necessarily looking for speed...just a workout.
