My take on the TG thread.  If it smells like bigotry and tastes like bigotry - and even sounds like bigotry, it's probably bigotry.  This is one of those thin grey lines that the mods have to tightrope.  Before the thread turned into reactionary posts, nobody technically called anybody a bigot...even though you could read it between the lines.  I was a little at a loss on how to handle the thread initially as I just didn't want it to 'disappear' - I applaud the OP for even starting it and the responses to the OP were overwhelmingly positive.  Moderator action was taken, I eventually froze the post and slept on it.  I decided this morning that it needed some serious trimming with all the 'reactionary' posts expunged if the thread had any chance of continuing civilly.  It's back-in-action, I hope people don't feel the need to bring up any 'past history' of that thread or I will have to deep-six it.

I have to thank Fred for getting going a discussion on mobile.  When I posted the 'site updates' sticky thread in Tritalk mentioning the mobile enhancements, I got only a handful of posters with issues/bugs.  We haven't immediately applied fixes as the sample size was so low.

Fred's discussion actually has some good info, what the bugs are and what people dislike about it - especially after following up with people.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, post your rants and bugs on any 'site update' thread that I put out there.  The more people the better as the more data points I have to act on a bug - or just change the way something works if there is a clear consensus.

Our October mobile update is just one of many to come.  We have another one slated in another week or two to address bugs and more features (friends list, inspiring to friends, etc).  I knew we would have several issues with the mobile vs full site for various devices...I just needed some good discussion.
