Easy ride. Legs felt great. Felt damn good to get outside again. HR was a bit high...whatdya expect for not doing anything for 8 days and eating like junk.

Milo's appt went good lastnight. In talking w/ the Dr, he said that Milo's eye was the worst he's seen in a quite a long time. Basically, the bottom 1/3 of his eye was mush. After the appt, I took the cats outside in the garden, by the apple trees and in the corn field (thats why no bike ride lastnight). They loved that and it was a good distraction for Milo. He had his eye open, but he has some edema in his eye so it looks kinda gross still. His personality is coming back as well. Everything's heading in the right direction so things are looking on the up n up for him.

Alright, Im really getting antsy to get out and do something. It almost feels like a taper week from hell now. I fell 100% and I want to get back in the swing of things. Bike or run tonight. Hopefully the bike, but we'll see whats up.

Sometimes when I wake up around 5a ish, Ill open the door up and let the cats roam around inside and out by themselves.  This morning we woke up to what basically looked like a bird exploded in our house.  Feathers were EVERYWHERE.  Not just in one room, but three spread out throughout the house.  We found Opie sitting in the corner gnawing on a bird thats bigger than his head.  He's been in big-time hunter mode lately and bringing us lots of "presents".  We could only laugh and how much feathers were all over the house.

Milo is doing better.  His eye is still closed, but he's starting to act like himself again.

We went to a wedding lastnight and they had a band playing there called "Down Lo ".  They were pretty damn good!! Bring out the funk.

Im bringing my nutrition back on track today.  Ive been eating like shiznat the last week.

After taking Milo to the vet for the 3rd time yesterday, the vets finally figured out what was wrong.  Milo has an ulcer on his eye and its basically "melting" his eye.  Kinda like how a stomach ulcer eats away the stomach lining, an eye ulcer eats away the outer layers of the eye.  Its a lot worse than we thought and was a good thing we brought him in yesterday.  His eye was "melted" down the last layer.  Another couple of days and he might have lost the eye.  Not good.  We had to put him into surgery yesterday afternoon.  Doc said it was worse than he thought as well once he started working on Milo.  Poor guy had a 1.5cm by 8mm "hole" in his eye that was leaking as well.  His eye is fully recoverable, which is good and Milo should be back to 100% in a few days, hopefully.

Soreness is totally out of the legs.  I feel really really good.  If it doesnt rain out I might take the bike out for a short spin.

No work today!! I have to take Milo into the vet.  His eye still isnt doing too good.  He started meowing really weird lastnight and he had stuff (tears?) dripping out of his eye.  Kinda gross.  He was acting really weird too.  So, Im taking him in, again.

Have a good weekend everyone!!!

Walked on my lunch hour to get some blood flowing. Did an out n back. Neg splitted that biotch too!

Okay, so when you guys finished and were running down the chute, did you hear Reilly say your name?  Both times I finished IMWI I dont remember it...at all.  Like he wasnt even there announcing.  I dunno, I guess I just get caught up with the fans screaming and running down the chute.  Thankfully Paul (Bnmracn here on BT) was there this year and he caught my finish on video.  He got some other vids as well that I though Id share:  Coming into T2 (2.5MB), At the turn-around of the run (9MB) and at the finish chute (9MB).

Oh, and heres some more pics that my Mom took if you want to check them out.

The sticks are feeling awesome today.  Very little soreness left.  Coach and I made a deal yesterday about my swim.  He'll get to a sub 55' IM swim, and he'll get me to 57' w/ a wetsuit.  Sounds like a deal to me. Doing somewhere around 60' at Kona would be un-freakin-real for me. ;)

All the other pics from the weekend are up on my blog. You can check them out here: http://www.3xrob.com/photos/ I have a couple of short videos as well. Ill post those tomorrow. ;)

Legs are feeling better today. Calves are still more sore than anything so Im walking a bit funny-like ;) Everything else feels decent. I talked w/ my coach yesterday and he says no training this week, excpet walking. So, thats the plan for this week. After that, ease back into stuff and I probably wont run for another 10 days or so. After that, we are going to hit the swimming hard and get back into a training schedule. Will probably be cutting a lot of wood in there as well. ;)
