I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it! I did it!
19.01 MPH average speed on Old Spanish Trail!!! That even counts having to stop and puke half way through! It feels like I am getting sick so I'm off to the store to get some OJ and other goodies to help me feel better faster. I'm going for a good long run tomorrow regardless.
Now that my wife is well on the road to recovery and she is actually starting to feel better the stress is gone. And everyone knows that when a large load of stress is relieved you get sick. Not this time I vow it;). LOL. Keesha actually says that the pain from having a plate mounted to the exterior of her skull and rods put in her spine with 16 screws is less than the pain she was having before! I could not even imagine what it must have been like.
Of course now I'm really excited about the next tri. I'm going to really put myself out and try for 1:30:00 even if I have to puke during the run. I can't wait to meet everyone else that's going!

We're BACK! I am soooooooo glad to be home again. Didn't sleep a wink I was so excited to see my kids again (yes the sleep hours does say 1/2 hour). Keesha is doing great. We found out yesterday that her Social Security went through and she can now be on disability. That is great news financially. All of you guys have been great I can't wait to meet a couple of you at the tinfoilman in two weeks.
Ok lots to do, more tomorrow...

My goal for tonight's run was to do it under 33 minutes. As for that: mission accomplished. Other than the goal it was a tough run. My form was way off and that made my calves and back hurt. Once I hit the peak I was doing better. The course here is sure a lot flatter than NY so I was able to up the speed a bit. I think I was pretty drained from swimming earlier too. Now I'm really spent.
Ok, time to make dinner;).
I finally got in the pool! At first it felt really good, then I got really tired. It felt like I was trudging with every stroke. I just kept concentrating on form and not trying to really push the water hard. I didn’t want to look at my watch for fear I would be averaging 3 minutes per 100, so I didn’t look at my time until all 1500 meters were in the books. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Had I miscounted the laps? Not a chance. I was being way to meticulous for the first swim back. I have yet broken 28 minutes over 1.5K until today! 27 minutes and 21 seconds, good grief I’m not so worried about the little 750-meter swim now. I’m planning on running tonight. I hope to do a ride & swim tomorrow. The pool hours have changed slightly making it easier to get there and back at a decent hour.
So as a victory snack I’m downing a drumstick (Chocolate covered ice-cream cone with nuts). I’ll get a good meal for lunch and a protein shake before the run for dinner.
