Great ride today followed by an even better swim.  My ride has pretty much stabilized around 16 MPH average.  My swim on the other hand continues to improve.  Right now improvements appear drastic only because I was sooooo sllloooowwwww before.  I’m feeling much more prepared for the next tri. 

Now I just have to take it easy on the runs and try to save my left knee as much as possible.  Looks like June maybe August for the MCL/ACL replacement.

Good lift tonight.  Life caught up again and was not able to bike or swim today.  I'll have to combine them again tomorrow for a good long workout.

I had another good run tonight. I’ve really been putting forth a better effort for the next tri than I did the first. I didn’t actually believe I could finish the first one; so training was merely to finish. Now it seems as though I have renewed confidence.

BTW my left knee still hurts a lot, but the swelling is going down faster than before.

Well I rode again for the second day in a row and still had a decent ride.  My pace was still a little slow for what I want but I’m not worried.  The swim today was great.  The pool was very crowded.  As the weather warms up it will be difficult to swim on the weekends.  Did the 1000 in 23:19 and there is room for improvement.  I had too much left at the end of the 1000 (training for sprints right now).  My time over the 500 was around 11:30 or so.

I hope to get in the gym and hit the weights tomorrow.

I don’t know how I did it but I managed to strain a muscle in my back this morning while working in the yard.

I still today as planned and had a very good ride.  It was probably my best road effort to date.

Ok, so I didn’t run yesterday. By the time I got back from the gym and the grocery store it was 2 am and I was a little tired. Oh well caught up on sleep today and had a great swim. I had a Met-RX bar and a Gu with a quart of water about 30 minutes before my swim. The last three laps (50m per lap) were very good and strong.

I am definitely running tonight after the kids go to bed.

Great Run tonight best time over 3 miles in a long time. I can't wait for the 5k at the end of the month.

Absolutely the worst ride ever. Ever have two flats on the same ride and only one spare? And when your new tubes arrive 30 min later (god bless my wife) the nozzle of your on-bike pump breaks off? Well total time spent in the great outdoors was a little over 2.5 hours for a 45-minute ride. Arrrrrrggggggggg.
