I am still on East coast time, so I woke up early again. I went to the gym at work and lifted weights until it was time to start work. I might make that a habit...until I get back to sleeping in. Happycow and I need to workout our new schedules. She has been so great about letting me have the time to train and I know she wants to get back into training, so this is her time. I will take whatever scraps of time she doesn't use, though :)

I also think this is a good time to start back up with my Beer diet. One pound a week and I can have a micro brew of my choice.

Is it Friday yet?

Swim Buddy at the US Women's triathlon this morning.

Lauren's team tied the "A" team today. That team hasn't given up a goal, nor lossed or tied a game in over 2 years of league play. Lauren's team actually had a chance to win it too. The "A" team's parents were pissed and you would have thought we won the world series with the way our girls celebrated a tie. But this was huge for our girl's self confidence. I am so proud of them!

My weight is getting back to normal and I am slowly starting to eat like a nontriathlete.

The swelling in my legs is going down. I can actually start to see some definition in them and not these tree trunks that i have had for a few days. The compression socks worked wonders. Go figure.

I have the day off, so I think I will go for a little swim and see if the arms still work. No swim today, I took the compression sock off and my right foot looks good, but my left is still a little swollen. I am in no hurry to get back into the workout thang (since I am retired and all) :) so, I may swim next week. I am a Swim Buddy for the women's tri this Sunday so that will be my swim and Sheila and I are doing a 5K next weekend so that might be my first run since the race, we'll see.

I also think I will work on my race report, although it will be mostly "I swam out, then back and biked out and back and ran out and back"

Thank you all for the inspires, emails and positive thoughts. You have no idea how much it helped.
I am back at work today, but will try to get back to you all.
My legs are swelling today. I found on an ultra running website that this is common a few days after an ultra run. I will try to keep my feet elevated (not sure my boss will dig me keeping my feet on my desk, but we'll see)
I also weigh 8 pounds heavier than before I left. Although that could be due to all of the post race food I ate...
It feels good to be back at home, though.

I am alive. Thank you all! I am in a hotel in Richmond (Lauren is going through technology withdrawls.. completely done with camp life)

We will be home tomorrow. Updates coming :)
