I did 72 minutes on the bike at the gym. I focused on staying aerobic and keeping the cadence above 90. As part of the workout I did 4 minutes at 100 cadence, 2 minute at 110 and 1 minute all out--generally about 125.

Too much going on at work. I've been getting ready for a couple of presentations this week. My workouts have suffered. I was going to bike after work, but my wife called me at 2 to see if I wanted to swim. I had just eaten a large Chinese lunch. It turned out to be one of the worst workouts I have had in a long time! I felt slow and sluggish. I ended up doing 40 laps and calling it quits. A tip for you all--no Chinese before swimming! Nice life lesson.

Nice workout done with Danette. I ended up completing 2600 meters in 58 minute--with 400 meters kicking. Today, I felt when I was breathing toward my left handside that I was higher in the water than I have been. Nice progress.

I thought today I would do a hill run for fun. I DIED! I warmed up by running from my house over Deer Hill to the start of the Lafayette Ridge trail. I ran up the Lafayette Ridge trail and was smoked by the top. Then, I did the rolling hills. At one point I had to sneak past a cow that was blocking the trail! Great fun. But I must admit I did quite a bit of walking. When I was done, I walked back down the sessions trail--past Raji's house. Total elevation change for this run was +2,077! New goal, I need to complete this trail without walking.

I did my recovery swim this week with my wife. I ended up taking the day off and we hung out together. This was a nice short workout--but my sides are a little sore.
