Still in recovery mode from the 1/2 Marathon. My hip feels 1000 times better than Monday. I did a boring 32 minute stationary bike ride--focusing on high cadence with low resistance.

I slept with my feet elevated and my hip feels much better today. Truth be told my poor wife is sick and I slept in the livingroom on the short sofa. No sense in both of us being sick at the same day. Hopefully, I will be able to get a workout in this morning. I'm seeing too much blue on my mini calendar this month! ------------------------------------ I did a quick a slow 500 meter recovery swim today. I felt good and my hip is getting better. I felt like I could go longer and faster, but decided to take it easy and stick with what I planned to do.

Monday - February 5

I was going to do a light swim, but my hip bothered me all night. Bah. Hopfully today I'll do some light walking an hope that it clears up. ------------------------ Maybe I'll use my time to figure out my next work outs and when to transition from winter prep to my next TRI season.

I did my first 1/2 marathon. Comments are in my race report. What an excellent experience. Total calories burned are 1901. My post run meal was a "big mac," giving back much of those calories burned!

Saturday - February 3

My wife starts her TRI career today. She has signed up for Wildflower Oly with Team in Training. She is training with the daugher of one her friends--Jamie Louis. I got up and made her coffee and a "lunch" with a gatoraid, goo, engergy bar, and a pria bar. She's going to kick butt. Check out her log. DWieczynski on BT. Whoo Hoo. ------------------------- I might swim today or I might take today off. It is just wrong that I have an 8:00 meeting. It will be a busy day with the kids--taking them basketball and softball.

We have our Janaury close today at work. I ended having to be in the office at 6:00 am to review data that was not available until noon. Boo Hiss. I missed my swim workout. I may shift my swim to Saturday--but may not get it in today.
