I signed up for WHAT?

This was essentially my dry run for Texas Man. It wasn't exact of course, as it was a group ride and I had probably 15 minutes between my swim and the start of the ride. Also, the run at the triathlon will be a full 5k instead of the 1.8 miles I did today. Still, it was good to get all 3 in one workout session. I had no real complaints about the session, I used the bike to work out some of my bad mood from work and really busted ass as a result. We were averaging 20mph over the first 9 miles of the ride and didn't slow down that much for the last 14 miles. It was nice to be in a group of 5 riders where we really had the same pace and could keep a good line going for miles. I ended up doing the majority of the pulling, which is fine I'd rather be in front anyway. They weren't sucking off me though, they could keep up just fine and would spell me from time to time. The run was solid but unspectacular, I expect to do better in the tri since I won't be riding my bike for as long.
Goals for Texas Man Triathlon on Sunday, Sept 17th:
11:00 or less 500 yard open-water swim
5:30 or less for the 2 transitions combined
63 minutes or less in the 18 mile bike
30 minutes or less in the 3.1mile(5k) run
Total time: 1hr 49min 30sec or less

This wasn't me pushing too hard, mainly just testing out the leg after the bike wreck Tuesday. Everything felt pretty good.
This one didn't go so well. There was a stronger current than normal and I couldn't sight the buoys for crap so I started getting very anxious. I'm still not very comfortable in the open water, but I'm working on it. The distance is a guess since the buoys are never exactly the same distance apart.
