Today was a day off from training
3 Good Things
1) I got my race report done

WU: 400 swim then 6x50 on 15" rest.
MS: 10x100 @T-pace +3". Your rest is 15".
CD: 300 easy.

I did this swim in the outside lap pool at LTF. I had a hell of a time swimming straight. I finally figured out that water coming off the water slide is what kept pushing me to one side of the lane.

3 Good Things
1) Since I was off today, I took Caly to her soccer game. They won 4-1.
2) The Iowa game was on Versus so I could watch it at home. Thank god because they got beat and I could be miserable all by myself.
3) I can not believe how much I let an Iowa loss affect me. After the game, I did not feel like doing anything. I did not even feel like going to my race tomorrow. I knew I had to get out of this funk so I went to the pool. It was the perfect medicine. After my swim, I felt normal again.

September 14

Run
  • 42m 16s
  • 5.00 miles
  • 08m 27s /Mi

Run Base
Endurance
40
Run on a flat course or treadmill. Keep HR in Zone 1-2, no higher than the top of Z2.

The top of my zone 2 is 150. I love being to run under 9 min miles at this HR because I feel like I could run all day when my HR stays under 150.

3 Good Things
1) We had a great day at the office
2) I was really happy with my run
3) Since this Sat is our Bonus Day, were we take it off, I got a chance to relax and watch a movie tonight.
