Legs felt pretty good this morning but got tighter as the day went on. Shins were tender from all the hills today but felt ok on the run. Should have taken it easier but I got paranoid after my 9+ run even though I know it was the hills. I'm such a freak!!! I'll probably pay for it tomorrow.

Tonight was HOT again. The humidity is so bad it feels like your breathing through a blanket. GROSS!!!!

The run didn't kill me yesterday so I'm assuming that means I'm stronger.  I feel pretty good today.  Legs might be a little heavy but nothing too bad.  I'm suppose to do a 30 min run this afternoon but I'm not sure how I'm going to get it in.  The boys both want to be part of the summer track league and tonight is the first meet.  Will watching all that running count through osmosis?   Got to skip this one by bribeing them with shopping...actually their running shoes were shot after the school year ended and they would have hurt themselves running in what they had.  Already reworked my schedule for next week to make sure we make it then.

This run wasn't easy but I'm happy with it. It's a mile and a half warm up and cool down on relative flats and the rest is all hills. I've done this faster when it's cooler but it's friggin HOT today!!!! I feel good going into BSLT with this under my belt...hey what do you know a positive note...!!! Yeah.

Had a good lunch, banana in the afternoon, granola bar and rasins on my way to the run. Gu & electrolytes before I headed out and a Gu & Electrolytes at the turn around.

Pace above includes a 4 min fuel/ water replacement/bath at mile 5.

Started having severe pain behind my right knee that seemed to radiate from my glutes. I did a short recovery run without any pain so I'm thinking I need to look at my bike position. I might not of gotten my seat back in the right spot from Sunday. hmmmm....

I get another gold star for keeping my mouth shut this morning.  There's a new swimmer (CapTex cap=triathlete) at the pool and she has a coach. So far I haven't been impressed with him.  She's got lousy form and all he does is occasionally walk up and down the pool timing her.  Wanted to tell her to get a new coach or tell him to fix her stroke.  She looks pretty new to it and is still trying to get comfortable breathing.  HELLLLLO, ever heard of drills.  Yeah, I'm in a pretty messed up mood today.  He got lucky the swim Gods took my sass away this morning. :)

My weekend miracle...

I have a diamond pendant on a gold chain necklace that went missing about a year ago.  This was a gift from hubby about 8 years ago.  It happened to show up yesterday with a load of workout clothes I pulled out of the dryer.  I don't know if it got hung up in the washer or dryer all this time or what.  However, it's back and I'm happy since I never fessed up to loosing it to hubby and now we can laugh about it :).

The only thing hard on this run was the heat and trying to stay in zone. I was walking some just to bring my HR down.

What was I suppose to accomplish or learn from this???? PATIENCE..What else! I'll probably be praying for this run on Wednesday when I have a 10 mile hill run. OUCH! :)

This is my worst ride in I don't know when. It's a tough ride with lots constant hills but not really tough hills. My knees got stiff and hurt most of the afternoon.

I think part of my problem was nutrition. I used my Infinit and once again I didn't really drink enough. This was a 2 hour ride and I only had one Infinite bottle and one bottle of water with Elyte drops. I didn't finish either and should have. We stopped about 1/2 way and got a ice cream bar (Banana...gotta be some nutrition there right?) That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Anyway, I should have refueled or went to gel after that and didn't I really suffered for the next 5-8 miles. Will keep playing w/ my Infinit to come up with a solution.

OWS swim at Boerne lake. Shoulder starts to hurt about 1/2 way across but I ignore it and eventually it goes away. I'm sure I actually did more than 2000 but that's what I was suppose to do and since I don't get credit for extra in a race I didn't take credit today.

Well I was suppose to be able to sleep in today but exhibit b decided he was going with Daddy today and that of course can't happen unless he wakes me up.  Yeah, great to be needed right? 

Today, is a 2300 OWS and a 35 mile bike in Boerne.

I probably need to do another timed T-pace. My last one put me at 1:55 and I couldn't even manage to swim that slow this morning (during timed swim :). I avg. 142-153..not super fast but getting better. I don't feel like I'm swimming real fast because I can't seem to increase my arm turnover but my pulls are stronger.

I get a gold star for waking up this morning and another for getting up and 10 for doing T-pace swims.  I can't function with lack of sleep.  I NEED sleep.  The good news is the album is done and I can get some tonight and hopefully sleep in a little in the morning.

Strength training at lunch. 

Graduation parties tonight and tomorrow.  The girls softball team is going to state and the game is in Austin.  We may try and go up which will be fun but will also mess with my training.
