I was dying during this ride. My thighs are begging me for mercy, but I refuse to listen until they can get my a** moving at least 16 mph!!
It's also amazing how many animals one can come close to killing when riding a bike at (relatively) high speeds. Almost got a snake today and scared the crap out of a groundhog! Also almost didn't see some sleeping ducks on the side of the canal path. Look out, here comes Killer Kam!

I did other things. I'm tired of trying to find what I did that exactly matches up with the choices given. I need to figure out another system for logging this stuff. I did wall sits 4x30 sec. which was a flachback to HS volleyball conditioning (uugghh.) Great for thighs, though!

Well, at least my pace seems to be consistent. This ride kicked my a**, though. I kind of feel like I've gotten worse, not better. I felt like I finished strong, but
most of the way my legs were feeling pretty heavy and tired.
Rode to canal path at end of Packett's Landing, all of the way to Wayneport Rd, Wayneport Road (Allen/Padgham) to Pannell to Trolley Bed trail to Ayrault up to Turk Hill and home. I need to check my other logs cuz I thought the last time I did this the distance was different. Bike hanging in there (knock on wood!)
You know, I just looked at my other logs and my pace does seem to be a bit faster. So maybe I am making some progress even if I don't feel like it.... :)
I looked at my pace from last night and it's probably my best yet. OK progress is being made.

Being on the bike is soooo frustrating for me. It just reminds me how truly bad I am at it. I thought my pace was going to be much slower than this because I felt like I was struggling so much. I really shouldn't be complaining - it's not like I've really been working to get better. I need to make a real plan for getting better and stick with it.
Started at Pitt-Mendon HS, rode 5K course, but continued on Bloomfield Rd to Canfield and back up Mendon Rd to the HS.
Some pilates for the core and squats with an xertube and other quad exercises with bands. Actually up before 6:30 this morning to do this!

Can't get my computer program to work right so don't know exactly how far I ran. Stopped at 32 minutes because feet hurting and knee kind of acting up. After walking for a couple of minutes I realized I was taking my own sweet time and Rob and Tyler were at home waiting to go to the baseball game! So started back up again so I wouldn't be too late. Feet weren't too happpy with that. I am going to make a trip to shoe store soon!!!! I promise!!!!

Ran from Rec. Ctr on trail over to Trolley Bed trail. Took that trail all the way to Mason Rd. then back to Ayrault, up Ayrault hill to Turk Hill, then back to Rec ctr. Did 12 sprints between telephone poles (4x3). Felt pretty good on this run. Knee OK, feet ok, but I do need new shoes. Maybe I'll make a trip to Fleet Feet in a day or two.
Decided to do a baseline wall-sit to see how long I could stand it. Made it 2:03:50 before I slid to the floor. I never imagined I would do something like this for "fun" - ever!! :) Now I'm going to have to try to beat my time. Jeez what have I started. Ridgelake - you get better then we can have a competition!
