10' zone 1 + 10' zone 2 + 6 X (1/4 mile @ 6:55/mile pace + 2' easy jog) + 10' zone 1
This was a real cluster f&*k of a day. The details are boring but I'll share this --there's nothing like a speed workout at 3:30 on a 90 degree day. AND there was a super creepy guy hanging out at the track. I cut the workout short b/c this dude was just sitting and watching. When my Garmin crapped out I decided it was time to go. Ran my cooldown at home.

Swim Lesson @ 1:00 p.m.
Didn't quite get the run in today but breakfast was lovely. It was so nice to see my friend--we've known each other since 1983. Can't say that about everyone you know. :)
Swim was tough and kicked my butt a bit. I was pooped afterward. Swam a 500 yard TT--8:41. I think that's what Brett said. Worked a lot on drills focusing on getting me to turn myself more during each stroke. The first couple of laps of each must have been hillarious to watch.

10' zone 1 + 2 X (15' top of zone 4 + 10' zone 2) + 45' zone 3 + 10' zone 1
Ooo! I also received my hardware from the Batavia tri in the mail today. It's really kind of nice. :) Note to self. It's good to be first. Hopefully I'll see that again some time!
Moving slow this morning ... must be all the ribs I ate yesterday. :)
Bike trainer workout later today ... will make up for missing Sunday's ride. Love that!

30' TT plus warm up and cooldown
Niiice! Although there were parts of this where I wished I had a block to chomp down on b/c it hurt!
I was BUSY today! Sitter at 9, blew my back tire at 9:15, broke the cup holder off Jack's car seat trying to get the seat down to get my bike in a 9:30, switched cars with the sitter at 9:45, Brett's from 10-11:30 (includes learning how to change a rear tire flat), grocery shopping at 11:45, home at 12:30, back in the car at 12:45, massage at 1:00. ***HOUR OF REST/REPAIR/RECOUPERATION.*** Delightful--except when she tackled the reasons I went. Then it was aaaarrrrgggghhhh! But necessary. I suspect I'll be back on Friday for another dose. I must get my achin' ass back in order. And I'm not kidding, it's my ass that hurts.
Anyway, felt great on the bike today. Wanted to go harder but da coach wouldn't let me. Might have something to do with that 5K tomorrow. I somehow managed to not see the 30' swim that was scheduled. Will try to fit it in another day. Ooops. :o

Walked into town again with Jack and ran errands.
I've been getting the icky, stretchy, can't get comfortable from the waist down thing for the past 6 nights. VERY annoying because I'm really getting freakin' tired. I think a massage and an appt with the chiro this week are in order. Maybe that'll straighten things out a bit.
50' easy on the trainer today. 30' TT on deck for tomorrow. :o
Massage scheduled for tomorrow following the TT. Just what I need! :)

Group ride
1.2 mi run, 10'Z1
I had some serious cobwebs to clear out this morning. Maybe the slowness had something to do with the nasty headwind we were riding into during the first half too. About a 1/3 of the way into the ride, I finally felt good. And then it was really good. :)
The run went relatively well. Pace on the run was 7:55/mi. I walked home though. There was no Zone 1 and jogging.
It's Frank's birthday today so time to swing into "Whatever you want, honey" mode. We'll see how long it lasts. ;)
