Monday - July 14

Yesterday's race was mediocre, with good reason. I lost a lot of time in the Texas Tri Series and am now in 3rd behind Blake Layne and Frank Hayes. That's not acceptable. I've got 3 weeks until Jack's Generic. That's at least 7 or 8 pounds I can lose. It's also 2 1/2 weeks worth of run, bike, and swim workouts I can get in.

My swim is doing well and should get even stronger. I was 4 seconds ahead of Frank and 30 seconds ahead of Blake coming out of the water. For Jack's Generic, I want 10 and 40 at least.

Bike is pretty solid right now and again should only get better. I should be at least 2:00 ahead of each, hopefully more.

The run is where I'll definitely give some back to Blake. It'll just be a question of how much. It could be anywhere from 1 minute to as much as 5. I need some good workouts and to lose that weight. By the end of the race, I hope to have clawed back a minute or so from Blake and at least 3 or 4 from Frank.
