Train Like A Pro! :)

After a good night's sleep, everything was better today. Much better run, 7:20s felt easy again- everything was great! Sun was out super early, and the day was starting to warm up- yeah spring!
Solid long swim. I am finally able to get my head back down in the water. Ever since the head-smashing incident, I've been swimming with my head tilted up just a bit, because I am terrified that someone is going to smash into my head again. I've been trying to get my head back down, but fear wins more often than not. Today I felt normal again, and had the feeling of swimming 'downhill' for the first time since that happened. It's so weird, I used to enjoy having the lane to myself, but now I'm paranoid that if I am alone, someone will jump in without letting me know, and I'll run into them again. Who knew one accident at the pool could be so 'traumatizing'?

Wind wind and more wind. Over 20mph for most of the ride. And it spun around, too, so I never really had a tailwind. Ick. But I survived. My legs were shot at the end!
Easy transition run. I was so happy that this pace was easy :)
Swim after my ride and run. Actually felt pretty good!

Cyclocross ride! I love the dirt roads. It's so nice to just be out on the dirt roads, away from the cars, hanging out with the horses and elpacas :)
Nice little trail run with the family. Cody was ready to run super far, and pretty fast! What a crazy puppy.

My body is just so weird. I can run 2x20min at around a 6:20, but can barely go under 620's for 5 minutes? I suppose it's because I have no real running background, so I don't really know HOW to run faster- it's just so odd!
Meh. Back was tired, had no speed.
There is a 'caution floors slippery when wet' sign on the pool deck. And I thought University of Michigan students were supposed to be smart?!
