Group run with my Galloway group. Went great. The first 12 felt super easy and flew by. At 12, my legs were feeling it, but we finished strong. This was quite a jump in distance for me, as this season my longest run so far was 11. But, no aches or pains, legs held up great.

Damon took the boys to the Jump Zone, so after I came home and showered, I was able to lay down for 45 min before they came home.. total bliss, I tell ya!

3:38 pm: We are heading out of town tomorrow. Damon is going back to Dayton on business, and we are coming with :) All fantastic and we are all looking forward to a fun week... but for me, that means i have to be ON the bike at 5 am to get my long ride and a brick run in before we head out. oy. Going to Georgio's Pizza to celebrate Nikita's kindergarten graduation. So bitter sweet :) I have a first grader!

June 20

Wow, what a day. Planned to go to LTF TWICE, and didn't make it twice. In the morning, Lukas and I were on the way to LTF, and he started saying how he didn't want to go and wanted to go home. Now, usually I wouldn't listen to smth like that.... but, a few days ago, I went to pick him up from the Child Center and couldn't find him for like, 5-6 min, started to get worried, then I walk into the computer room, and he's huddling on the floor by the half wall (which is why I didn't see him), obviously had been crying (that staggered breathing). I pick him up and ask him why he's crying, thinking someone bullied him and looking for someone to punch (lol), we sit down and he's crying and says, "I missed you." :( I told him that anytime he was said, he could tell the teacher and they could get me. poor baby. This is SO out of character for him, he is very outgoing and usually wants to go play.. so I didn't want to push it make him go when he clearly didn't want to. So I thought, ok, we'll go when Nikita comes home. Nikita comes home, we swing by the house to get my bag, and driving to LTF. He bites into his dinner and his tooth starts hurting. He complained the day before, too, but i thought if he doesn't complain again, I'll make an appt for when we come back from Ohio (gone all next week).. well, he is in a LOT of pain, so obviously enough, I'm turning the car and driving to the dentist. They saw him and my worst fear materialized... almost $1800 in dental bills by the time they are done with him. OY. We don't have insurance on him, but i'm going to see when we can add him on... And Damon is traveling again this week, so I'm single-mommying again. So, obviously, by the time we were done with the dr, filled the prescription, got pain reliever, got home, got showered, got in bed, I was done. Crawled in bed and read. So, ....long story short, rest day! lol

hehe. 89 degrees outside, felt like 110. Lukas and I went for a run, he in the Bob, happily playing on my iPhone, me, wanting to die. You know when you dream sometimes, you want to run, but you are moving soooooo slowly? that's how I felt. The.whole.time. It was so hot. I figured this would be my first heat training and resistance training (being that Lukas is 34 lbs plus the Bob).

So, I kept asking myself, how did I ever survive Racine for 8+ hrs in 101 degree heat last summer? The answer is, I have no idea.

anyhoo, i walked more than I ran, but we did burn some calories and got some Vit D. Though at that time of the day, maybe more UVAs than UVBs? I don't know. I just can't win. My lazy nature was ticked to be summoned from the cool inside into the hot outside. Lazy nature is not happy.

Swim
  • 48m 12s
  • 1600.00 yards
  • 03m /100 yards

A little swimmy at LTF. Lanes wide open, nice! I wanted to bike for an hour, then swim for 30 min while the boys played at the Child Center, but the Karate ppl took over the studio and wouldn't let me bike in the back. I was a little ticked. If you are going to take over a studio designated for smth else entirely, why not let a person spin in the back row?? I wouldn't have bothered anyone. Whatever. Spinning class tomorrow am.

Damon is traveling this week, so except for running, I can't do anything till Friday, so need to maximize my LTF and treadmill time.

June 18

Once again, couldn't wake up at 4:30 to go biking, and then we were at a children's museum for half a day and really, really tired. Thought of going to LTF after Nikita got off the bus, but after we ran the errands, no time. Too tired to run after the kids were in bed.

Father's Day. Planned 3 work outs, got none in. Still very sleep-deprived, too hard to wake up early, really need to get in bed early. Life got in the way of the other two workouts *sigh* ok, call it a rest day..
