Unanticipated Off Day - Had the car overheat and am sans vehicle.
What bothers me most is that it's raining, so I can't bike - can't really run, and can't get to the gym.

Morning Workouts - Spin Class and a quick 600 left over set.
My swimming felt really good this morning. I hopped right in after spin class and just banged it out. When I finished I thought - wow, that was too easy.
SWIM: Couple of things - I am starting to feel the 'grabbing of the barrel' when I start my catch earlier, but still move my head too much. I'll be WAY fine for my sprint if I can make this kind of time come May, but I need to continue to work on a little longer breathing between strokes. I can pick up a little time when I do that and it is getting easier.
SPIN (BIKE): The up and out of the saddle jumping got annoying to me this morning - I just wanted to get in and put out some consistent power. Maybe I'll do a little trainer tonight. I wonder if spin class is doing bad things to my pedal stroke. I need to focus on my form and think about if I really want aerobars or not on my bike - I don't think I'm fast enough to make a difference yet, but I like having the extra position to rest in and not lose power when I'm tired.
Tonight - hav a 50 minute run 10' WU/10x1' glides with 2 min rest in between - glides at 5K pace.
Can't wait for next week - the wedding preparations will come to a frenzied completion!

Trying to see how my capacity for distance swimming is coming along - Ugh, I am still slow.
I think I'll be OK for my first sprint - I felt pretty good in the water about the first half of my workout.
I also think I was a little slow since I swam so much yesterday as well - Oh well, running will be a welcome change come tonight.

I felt like the swimming is coming together - just have to work on building endurance and that will come with time. I am still practicing on breather fewer times per lap and trying to get my hips up - I could really feelit when I was running under 2'30 on those laps when it began to 'click' - it had a strange sort of detached feling - this is what caused me to lose track of how many laps I was doing i think. When I realized it,I had a weird song go through my head.... which leads me to today's track:

Base Miles Ride
Good Low Z1/Z2 Base mile ride. Did a few sprints in a game of catch'em on the road, but really did some slow easy miles today. For once the wind came out of the north and carried me from Hempstead to HOckley on the way home.
I think all the running I have done has helped increase my cardio endurance - I did sprints today and managed to keep it under 150 BPM for the first time I can ever remember.
Had dinner tonight with a couple of friends I had not seen in forever and a day - very excellent to catch up with guys that are brothers by another mother. Andrea had a good time I think - I really enjoyed visiting with them.
No track today - road riding.
