Back to Basics

March 21

"As endurance athletes we have countless tough days. When things go wrong, we have to learn to shove the ego aside, otherwise we will never generate positive progress toward our goals.

You will realize, restrospectively, that the flogging you're handing yourself right now is pointless and gets you no closer to your apsirations. Go out, do what you can, and just be here in the now - let it be what it is and in time it will let you become who you are."

The advice of my Zen buddy Alex.

Going through a rough patch - both in my hobby as a tri guy (because of the injury), work (finding fulfillment), and my religion (praying for guidance). It will all get better - just need to give it time.
