Finishing my run on Elliptical machine
Old grind 'em out mode - the run was harder than I thought. Still, I finished my cardio on the elliptical.

OK - who undid the lock/release on my trainer? I actually fell off it this morning and threw a spoke.
Got up too late for spin class downtown and thought - no problem... will just get on the trainer. Got going - shifted weight forward to go aero. CRASH! My left lock nut was not secure. OOPS! How did that happen?
Maybe I should wear my helmet indoors... on the trainer... :)

My buddy Chris in the office (future ironguy) got me to go swim with him today at lunch outside. Despite it being overcast, the sun did peek throughand it made for a good afternoon. I think my swimming is solid (for me) I'm averaging around 2'40 or so and I think that's the pace I'll aim to beat at CB&I.
Work is getting better - I'm meeting with my boss tonight to discuss some changes made to my position. It'll help me figure out a lot of the stress I've been feeling.
Overall things are getting better. I can feel my attitude changing and getting better. It's just so hard when you are struggling to get through it all and not only have a bad day, but a bad couple of weeks. Rough patch - rough patch. Thanks guys for your encouragement!.

Tour De Cypress
or rather, Tour of the Wind!
Got back, on the saddle - went out - forgot about my troubles, my GPS, my training plan - everything. For a few hours it was just about me and the bike. I had fun. I didn't worry about pacelines, heart rate zones or specifics. Yeah - it was slow... but I proved to myself that I could slog it out and still walk the next day.
I'll worry about the training plan tomorrow - gotta get saddletime for the MS-150 and CB&I two weeks afterwards.
The wind sure can make you humble.
