Long run on the Coyote Creek trail. Mind over matter. Felt pretty poor for most of it, but managed to keep my walking to a minute at the start of each mile... Until the last two miles, when things started falling apart: side stitches, bit of wheezing, etc. Those miles were 13 min/mile and 12 min/mile. With 0.5mi to go, a section of both quads spasmed briefly and then locked up (first time that's happened to me), but I managed to massage/stretch it out and finish running.
Also, new PR for 13.1! Roughly 2h18.
Super-sherpa Steve hung out in the park while I was doing my run, so he was around when I finished and offered to massage my quads and calves with a tennis ball. I suspect it made a huge difference. Soreness much reduced from what I expected it to be!
