est mileage. Everything felt pretty good then at about 7 minutes my right foot really started hurting. didn't stop with rest or stretching, so I came back. By the time I got to the house it was better, but at that point I decided that I was running late and should get on with the day.

Today is my dad's birthday, so on my way to Taos I'm going to stop in Albuquerque and visit with him for an hour or two. It's an hour or so out of the way, but I cannot think of a better thing to do on his birthday - unless it would be to spend the whole day with him, and that just won't work with what I've got going on in my own life. Although I struggled with taking the time I want to do this.
Rest day today in prep for the next four days of ski training.

Well there's nothing like totally ignoring your training plan. But I have my goals, and an overriding plan. Just trying to work the triathlon training in as I can. Priorities.
Tomorrow rest day, so I can be ready to go on Thursday morning. don't want to arrive tired and sore for a $250 private lesson. And I want to take full advantage and have my full resources ready.
One really cool thing has happened with my skiing. Now when I pull one of my ineffective moves I can actually feel it. This is perhaps the most important step in changing movement patterns, the ability to feel what is happening.

Thought I might go swim tonight, but I'm pretty pooped out. I could go, but just am having trouble finding motivation. tonight: laundry, put away dishes, trash out, set up everything so I can get to work here at the house tomorrow morning. Tomorrow's workout calls for a 1 hr bike. perhaps I can run and swim tomorrow.
Plan for tomorrow, work early and for five hours, then go ski for an hour or two in the early afternoon, then back to the house to finish out an 8 hour day.

Went to the bar after skiing and hung out with the disreputable instructors.
One of my friends came over and we threw some steaks on the BBQ. It was nice to have some one to share dinner with. we get along well and I really enjoy skiing with this guy. Got to bed not too late.
Betwen the bar and dinner, had just about one glass of wine too many.

Heard a radio program on my way up here, and one of the points the speaker made was: God will not call you to do something without giving you the ability to do it.
Ski training today. I'm trying to psych myself up. yesterday afternoon was not pretty, but I want to learn how to ski this mountain with grace and ease.
Breakthrough day. Incredible, awesome, fabulous, and super fun.
