I rode the HIM course and you can completely ignore the speed as it was brutally windy. 20-25mph sustained winds with gusts into the 30s. Really slowed us down a lot.
Overall the course is a good ride, but will be challenging as part of a tri. Typical country roads, very rough, lots of potholes and cracks, and a lot of ups and downs. 2000ft of climbing with several very steep hills.

Spent the first 20-25min all out trying to hang with the fast guys and did, but then finally hit the wall and backed off and finished the rest at my pace. 15-20mph headwind on the way back sucked.

Had a taxing and long day at work, which means I only had time for one workout. So, between running and swimming, my running needs the most work and that is what I did.
Pretty decent run and happy with the pace.
