Bike this morning.  Hopefully 2 weeks away from the bike won't totally destroy what bike fitness I have!

4:10 - I just realized that I will be in San Diego on the weekend that The Tri Expo is going on there! That could be dangerous!  Especially since Connie isn't going with me!

Back at it!  Feeling pretty good, although I can't say that the bike was overly taxing.  Going to go mostly unstructured until the first week of February as I am leaving Tuesday for 2 weeks in CA (lets see if I can screw up the weather there! :) )

I finished the 2 race reports!

January 12

Already at the airport waiting for our flight home.  It will be good to be home after 2 weeks away.  We've had a good time for the most part, the weather being the only downer.  Funny how Florida today set a record for the most consecutive days below freezing (11) and I was here for all of them!

Lets see - 3 destination races:

2007 Chicago marathon - record heat
2008 Ironman Lake Placid - all day rain
2010 Goofy Challenge - record cold and rare snow

I wonder what race I should screw the weather up next?

12:11 PM

Home safe and sound!  Other than some guy proposing to his girlfriend on the plane, it was uneventful!  That's the 2nd proposal on this trip as someone proposed before the half on Saturday.

For those of you wanting to avoid doing the races I do, they are all listed to the right! :)  Keuka and Musselman are local so they are probably safe, IMFL is at risk though! :)

I think most of my near future marathons will be smaller regional ones.  Ones I can get to on a weekend and get home after.  The only exception will be an attempt to get into NYC starting in 2011.

Other than some tenderness in the hammies and a goofy twinge in the right hip, not feeling to bad.  Don't know about a workout today as there is quite a bit of stuff to do here, but maybe an easy bike in the morning.  Need to write some race reports too I guess.
