18:30 Woohoo! Got my long sought-after 10-hr week in the bag!
Spent the morning at the Javits Center setting up for a weekend convention. It ends on Tuesday, and I'm on the late flight home! This has been a long biz road trip, but there's now light at the end of the tunnel.
Tonight, no plans. The weather improved from downpour showers to just patchy clouds. Let's hope it stays that way. Perhaps dinner out-and-about in Midtown. Don't relish traveling too far up or downtown to eat tonight. Just walking around the streets this afternoon--the Costumes are already abundantly in display.
09:45 Whew...long week, both work-wise and also run-wise. I've been running around NY/CT seeing and dining with clients and trying to squeeze in 10-hrs of training at the same time while on the road.
Last night, having already gotten in my daily-double workout, I actually had the night free! So, I headed to...where else?...the movies! First grabbed a bit at Dave & Busters in the AMC movie complex--mostly because I was able to find a seat in the bar area right way--remember, it was Friday night in NYC/Times Square. Then, went down the list of "Now Playing" at the AMC Empire 25 and Regal 20 (both on 42nd near Times Square), and decided to see The Kingdom (starring Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, and Jason Bateman...and a bit of Jeremy Priven [y'know, "Ari Gold" from Entourage]).

I actually have liked almost any movie/television produced/directed by Michael Mann (the orig. Miami Vice series, Heat, The Aviator, Collateral, Miami Vice [2006 movie], Last of the Mohicans, etc.). And, this film was no exception. Moved briskly, semi-interesting character development, action galore, correct weapons deployment and tactics, etc.
This morning, I have a few errands to run, and will then be doing my "gift shopping" for wife and kids--at The Lacoste Boutique and American Girl Place, both conveniently located on 50th & 5th Ave across the street from one another.
My only other "obligation" today is to get in another minimal 1hr. (perhaps longer) workout to reach my 10hr for the week goal (and also to keep my blog calendar range scale where I like it--yes, I'm twisted that way)...

17:30 What a long trip its been (left SF on the 15th)! Finally, I'm on my way home. Sitting here in the member's lounge, the last 2 weeks have been a whirlwind. Can't wait to get home and see the wife and kids, and to partake in the Halloween festivities!
