Moving furniture

1:00pm - Spent part of the day moving all my stuff from one bedroom in the house to another, so that I can set up the first for my girls, so they have a room of their own when they come to visit.

4:30pm - Wow, did my legs hurt today.  I guess playing volleyball last night for the first time in a month beat my shins up pretty good.  So I dialed the pace back a good bit, and was able to get through it.  I'll definitely have to rest my shins this week, and I may have to skip volleyball next Friday night.

6:30pm - Tonight's run was awesome.  My goal was to alternate sub-10:00 miles with sub-11:00 recovery miles, and except for one 11:00 mile I nailed it.  I did have to push a bit to maintain pace, but overall I felt pretty good.  Oddly enough though, if you look at the lap data it appears that my AHR and MHR are inversely correlated to my pace.  Strange?

6:30am - Plan for the day:

  • 10:00am - Health screenings (cholesterol, blood pressure, body composition) and a flu shot at the Health Fair at work.
  • 5:00pm - Dinner with my kids and my STBX

Monday - October 27

8:00am - Plan for the day:

  • 1:00pm - Meeting with the photographer to go over the pictures from last Friday's shoot, to pick the final 20 to be edited.
  • 7:00pm - Strength training

3:00pm - I picked out 20 pics from the shoot to be finalized, but in the meantime I created an album with a few of the originals.

11:00pm - Spent most of the night playing around with the new pictures I got and uploading them, so I never made it to the gym.

Spent most of the day with my kids, then once my STBX picked them up I went out for a run.  I was a little hesitant because it was my second-longest continuous run and I missed my long run last weekend, but once I got going I felt pretty good.  My goal is to run 11:00 miles for my half marathon in two weeks, so I tried to stick to that pace and it worked out okay.
