11:00am - For those of you who check in on me regularly (I think there's at least two of you), sorry that I've been pretty quiet as of late. Basically, I've been having trouble getting motivated to train after my last race, especially since it's starting to get really cold. Also, with the recent round of layoffs at work I've been more cognizant of how much time I spend out of the office (working out) and playing around on BT. Lastly, in my spare time I've been trying to (1) spend time with my kids (2) work out a divorce agreement with my STBX and (3) venture into the scary world of online dating, hoping to find some pleasant female company.
For today, the plan is to play pick-up volleyball tonight. If things quiet down here at work early, I may sneak out to the gym and try to get in either some strength training or maybe a quickie on the dreadmill.
Tomorrow morning my kids are coming down for the weekend. At some point I need to get in a run (7 miles), but I'm not sure when that's going to happen.
6:00pm - I was able to get out of the office at a reasonable time, so I stopped at the gym and did a short, easy run on the treadmill before playing volleyball.
11:00pm - After volleyball a bunch of us went out for dinner and drinks, and while we were there I was chatting with woman I've met a few times before. I really enjoy her company and she seems to be able to tolerate me, so we made plans to go hiking next Sunday.

11:00am - My Mom offered to watch the girls for a while so I could get my run in (thanks, Mom) so I ventured out into the cold looking and feeling like the Michelin Man. I started off too fast because I was focusing on warming up and not watching my pace, but overall I felt pretty good and averaged 20 seconds per mile faster than my 1/2 marathon pace. Not too bad considering that it was my first long run since the race.
6:00pm - In the afternoon the girls and I were invited to a party at a friend's house to watch the Patriots-Dolphins game. It felt a bit weird because it was all married couples plus me, the soon-to-be-single guy. At least there were a bunch of other kids, so my girls had a lot of fun. And the Pats won!
