12:00pm - Lunch ended up getting moved to tomorrow and my energy level was starting to pick up a bit, so I decided to try an easy swim at the Boston Sports Club pool.  I managed to do 30 minutes, but I was pretty wiped out afterwards.

7:00am - This morning I had planned on swimming before work, but I woke up with a deep cough and a nasty sore throat.  I'll medicate today and see how I feel tonight after work.

9:30am - Met with my health coach from the wellness center at work.  I managed to lose 1.8 pounds last week, even with all the pigging out I did this weekend.  They were also able to give me some OTC cold medicine and some throat lozenges, saving me a trip to the store.

11:00am - Beautiful ride with Coach Vic, Annmarie and Alison through Medfield, Natick, Wellesley, Dover and Sherborn.  At 25.3 miles in we stopped briefly so I stopped my Garmin, then forgot to turn it back on.  So, I just used the time and distance from Coach Vic's unit.

3:00pm - This afternoon we had some family over for a cookout, so I spent an hour getting the grass cut and the the back deck set up for the BBQ.

12:00pm - Today I rode a loop near my sister-in-laws house in Lyman, ME.  After a few miles I noticed that I was moving along at a pretty good clip, so I decided to push a bit and see if I could maintain a 20mph average for the ride.  The course was relatively flat, but towards the end there were a few big hills that killed my pace.  Oh well, it felt great anyway!

10:00am - First OWS of the season.  Our team met at Walden Pond for some introductory drills (for many on the team it was their first OWS ever).

One of the drills we did was "swimming the gauntlet" which involved swimming between two columns of people who splashed, pushed and grabbed you.  For this drill I was a "moving gauntlet" in that I swam alongside each swimmer before and after the gauntlet, harassing them as we went.  It was fun, and a pretty good workout for me.
