Getting back into the swing of things

Swam with Elizabeth tonight at Oak point. She bared with me as I opted for the longer option on my workout.
50 m warm up
4x400 m easy (working just past the point where I get in my groove)
50 m solid and strong
Had a great swim. I worked a little on everything - my pull, sighting, bilateral breathing, hand entry. Felt good. I just needed to prove to myself I could swim again. My next swim will be the open water swim practice at Galveston the day before my race.
Man, it doesn't look like I've worked out at all this week! I did manage to get some good sleep last night though :-D AND I picked up my packet from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and settled my account with them - $3,023 raised. A big thank you to all that donated, that's way above and beyond what I ever thought I could raise.
4x 400m swim planned for tonight.
4 days till Lonestar Quarter!

Nice easy run with Annita on the treadmill. Tried out some electrolyte capsules to make sure my stomach can handle them. They seem to be all right. I'm still getting use to the gels, but then again, I haven't had the optimal conditions to test them out in either.

Swam with camy at Oak point, he helped me calm down for the OWS a lot (thanks Chris!) Swam just to get the freak out factor out of me. Figured that if I was going to breath every right stroke, I should practice that way this week and try to make my stroke as efficient as possible. It was really hard to get my left arm to do anything remotely close to what my right arm was doing. I was glad I got back in the water though. I'll get some more laps in on Wednesday.

Not even really sure why I am putting this down. Never heard if the Plano cycling group was getting together, I wish I knew the route well enough to go by myself, but really I don't think I should ride on the road by myself for long workouts.
I was really tired, in a bad mood, and nothing was working out for me today. I tried to get into it, but it just didn't work out.
Tomorrow will be a better day.

First ever open water swim in Lake Grapevine. It's really going to be hard mentally, seeing as how my race is in less than a week. I couldn't relax into my stroke with all the murkiness and waves. It was really crazy. I did horribly :-( I'm trying not to dwell on it, I've just got to look at it for what it is, a learning experience. Now I've got to look past it to the upcoming race taking my lessons along with me. Keeping my thoughts cohesive and focused. This is going to be a challenge.

Easy spin on the trainer. Watched Lost and the Riches while I spun a way. Man, Tivo is great!
Ran on the treadmill this morning. Another girl came in there and took the other one before Annita could get there. She looked tired and opted to go home :-( I missed my running buddy. I had a nice run nonetheless. 2.5 miles was scheduled for today, but I decided to shoot for half the distance of the run on my tri this weekend. It felt good. I've come to appreciate running a lot more now that I've been training for this. That makes me happy. It's been a long time that I've dreaded a training run.
3 more days!!!!! I'm packing for Galveston tonight!!!!
50 minutes easy spinning tonight, may just opt for an easy ride over to Annitas.
