Getting back into the swing of things

Coach Todd's spin class was pretty tough tonight. It is every night really, but I pushed myself even though at the start I felt tires. Seth treated me to nacho's afterward ;-)
Ran with Annita on the treadmill. Warmed up for 25 minutes. Did some speed work, I ran 30 seconds at 5.5mph and 90 seconds at 4.5 for twenty minutes 10 times. Had a 5 minute cool down that I stretched a little over so I could hit the 4 mile marker ;-) woohoo! The run felt good, although I'm not sure about my new shoes, we'll see if I can adjust. I saw some other asics on sale at REI last week (my size) on sale, if they are still there, I might have to try them on

Did 400 meter warm up (4x25m right arm, left arm, catch up, and swim). Then Swam till the pool closed. Concentrated on pulling through the water and really felt a difference in my arms and speed. Consistently did 100m in 2:40 with out exerting much effort, just trying to pull through my whole stroke.
Didn't have a lot of time to work out since I didn't get off work until 8:30 and the pool closes at 9:45, and the drive home is at least 20 minutes. But figured 30 minutes was better than nothing, especially since I checked on the hotel we are staying at this weekend and they only have an outdoor pool and their fitness center isn't ready yet, so I will have to be a little more creative ;-)

Missed my alarm this morning, accidentally set it for pm instead of am and left my workout partner stranded. :-(
So Annita and I got together after work for a short run around Chisolm trail. I'll map it out later for you. :-D It was a beautiful afternoon and the run felt great, short, but great! I wish I would have had more time.

Mileage is approximate, based on average speed and time. Biked Windhaven Hill twice. Little bit of wind, but nothing like yesterday. It was a nice ride. Eric was very patient with me. I really do think I am getting better at the hills, slowly, but surely :-D Nice ride, pretty day

Rode on reclined stationary bike. I miss my bike. :-(
Ran on treadmill. It was a lot harder. Don't know if it was the altitude or the time of day. I ran around 1pm, I had hoped to run in the morning, but we opted to have breakfast with family and enjoy a little bit of Santa Fe.
