Another busy day trying to catch up before I leave for SF to go to my godson's Baptism. SO excited to home for a few days to Cali - fresh air, sunshine, happy people -hooray. Kitty is still limping but seems in better spirits, except when we had to pin him down to give meds tonight. May try to get some running in but not sure what plans have been made during my visit so I didn't schedule any workouts. Will hit it hard when I get back into full throttle marathon training schedule. I'll try to catch up on inspires from the west coast. Have a good week peeps!

Good swiim this morning -felt good to just swim w/o counting the milage for a change. Very busy day at work -couldn't get on BT till now. Just came back from the vets with the kitty "Charlie" seems he does not have stress fracture or broken bone but a soft tissue injury due to jumping off the couch with his full body weight (which we found out is embarrasingly near obese) and landing funny. Yes -I paid the vet $229.00 to tell me my cat has a big fat ass! lol :) Anyway we got him some anti inflam. meds and they did blood work cause his throid was a little swollen (which may explain the B.F.A. diagnosis). Told us to keep him from jumpping for the next week or so (right).

Warning: Items may appear closer in BT blog ;)

Bikram -ahhh!

Slept a little late -tired from watching the Ironman all day and night long. Pretty restful day for the most part, took bikram with my daughter and just finished up a nice dinner. Need to call the vet first thing in the AM, my kitty started showing a little limp a few days ago and it has now progressed so that he can barely put weight on his little paw -poor thing. My guess is since he's 13 years old and very fat he must have jumped down from the bed and either landed funny or has a little stress fracture. Guess we'll see - either way big $$$$, but he's worth it :) Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Cut my run a little short so I wouldn't miss the start of the webcast of the race. Watching it right now -looks amazing out there -wish I was there! Getting me very motivated for next season. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. :)

Can someone please send out search and rescue to Fort Pond in Montauk? I seem to be missing  my swim form, must have left it at the race. Please inform me when you recover it -Thanks! Spent 30 minutes or so in the pool flapping around and sinking like a ship -WTF could not keep my hips up to save my life. Wonder if this is common post HIM issue. HAHA, luckily I don't need to swim for my upcoming marathon!

Well, after a little reserach and reading up on RR from the BT site, I've decided back on IMFL. Even though I'll do better in still water, the location, temperture and access to registration all make it the best option for me. I was considering IMKY and IMAZ in Nov. but since I'm a BOP and race to finish not to win it's probably ok. Also, since we treat my races like family vacations Florida is a much better post race location. So, if I get a slot, I'll be competing 2x in FL this year -Jan. for the marathon and Novermber for IMFL. We'll see -now on to the BT forum to figure out when the streaming begins for Kona tomorrow -woohoo!

So woke up and got all ready to hit the gym for a nice recovery swim, until I pulled the locked door and realized -oh yea Yom Kippur - gym is closed. So headed back home changed and managed to get out for a quick 30 minute run to get the legs moving. Felt really ggod and it was a great running morning. Gave the hubby a good massage last night as he had a hard run in Central Park yesterday (I'm such a good jockstrap ;)). He has the map of the mary taped up on the wall in the kitchen (he's so excited!). Will hit the pool tomorrow - now time to investigate some races for 2009.

Another night of recovery sleep.zzzzzz -let's see in bed after the debate at 11PM up at 8:30AM -not bad huh! Starting to feel more and more like myself, actually feel ready to do some workouts which is good since I'm scheduled back to some slow, easy stuff tomorrow. Excited to go to the gym and share my news with my buddies there. Still playing a little catch up at work which is funny cause I leave next Wed. for another long weekend. Headed to SF for my godsons baptism. Now I must start researching for an IM in 2009 that has a lake or pond that I can still register for...hmmm -suggestions are welcome!! Happy Hump Day!
