PT Exercises
Today is day 1 of the Be Iron Fit 30 week Competitive Training Program I'm going to be following for IMCDA. I'm in the 10 week base phase. Lucky for me today is a rest day. I start up with Swimming and Running tomorrow. I'm going to do some of my PT exercise tonight. I need to keep those up to avoid injury.
I'm also looking to lose 12 - 15 pounds before the race. I figure if I can lose 1/2 lb a week I should be in good shape.

Vision Quest Computrainer torture class. Today was a 4 x 10 threshold ride. We rode at 95%, 100%, 100%, and 105% for 10 minutes each with 1 minute recovery between. We then had a 5 minute recovery and 4 X 1 minute at 140% with 1 minute recovery between. I averaged 180 watts for it.

Trainer Ride
Running and Walking on treadmill for Gait Analysis
Upper Body
Had a Gait Analysis done this morning. It was very interesting and I learned a lot. It turns out that my right leg crosses over my mid-line and causes my left hip to drop. This is what is causing underlying issues with me. I need to work on the following:
- Widen my stride so I don't cross the mid line. My stride length is fine
- Strengthen my hips and glute muscles. I need to get those strong and correct an imbalance between my left and right side
- Change shoes to a stronger stability shoe. The current ones I run in aren't given me enough stability even with my orthodics in them.
