In Detroit today.  Got in late last night as we sat on the runway for an hour due to wind.  Slept in and will take today as a rest day.

Little hung over this morning.  Swimming in the afternoon.  Have to say I was a little disappointed with NEXT last night and elBuli.  For what we paid I was expecting a little more of a wow factor after we left.  Out of the 29 courses only a couple of them really had much of a wow factor.  Oh well at least we were able to experience it.

Had a good birthday yesterday.  Got a nice run in with Anne and several friends in the morning.  Then I dragged Anne to see Act of Valor at 4:40pm.  We hit up Pequods for pizza afterwards.  

Got home around 8pm and Anne had made a chocolate cake with Reeses PB Cups on top of it, I'm addicted to those.  Had some cake opened a few gifts and was in bed and asleep by 9:30 on a Saturday.  Was perfect. 

 

Today I'm going to get a bike ride in and then tonight Anne and I are going to Next Restaurant for their elBuli menu.  We are looking forward to that.  To top it off I get tomorrow off from work for my birthday.
