Survival Never Goes Out of Style

4 x 10 burpees. Holy crap, they are hard.
Yoga notes: headstands are magically easily now. Must be the extra core strength. Burpees, however, are not easy at all, despite the fact I remember doing them in gym class in grade school. My last few of each set were basically in slo-mo to keep form okay.
My left wrist is minorly tweaked and has been since this afternoon. I'm not sure what happened to it.

Treadmill. Probably should have gone outside since it was actually nice out.

7:45pm: Everyone (there are four of us) has plane tickets for Peru now. We changed our climbing goals from a trek and one peak to a treak and... two peaks. I'd love to make it up Tocllaraju... 6000m is pretty epic. I've already started accumulating gear from online outlets (hello, 800-fill down jacket) since there is no winter gear to be had in Phoenix.
Z and I are contemplating running the half marathon at the SF Marathon. It's our favorite city, and thinking about all the awesome food we can eat after we run will make us run faster. The scenery is top notch too. (Man, can you tell I miss SF?) It is good Peru training too - it's on July 29.
The stairs at the gym are getting retiled or something, so everyone has to take the elevator. My gym (the Lifetime Fitness in Tempe) has one small elevator, so riding up and down with the post-work gym crowd was... interesting. On the way up, one guy commented, "This feels... wrong." Everyone nodded in agreement.
The Spinach Sour Cream Dip from Trader Joe's is my new favorite thing, but I have to admit that I ate the whole container in two days. Eep.

5:40pm: The wind outside is brutal. I watched Ironman for a bit (I think I may have saw Chile during the run portion if he's got on orange shoes and an AZ Tri Club jersey), then went back home because I had to go to the bathroom. I'm hearing a lot of "YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!" from my window. Maybe someday...
I will probably go back in a bit after dinner and cheer for all the later finishers. Go Robin go Robin go Robin go!

The dirt road to the National Trail at South Mountain, up the National Trail a bit, back down. About 300 ft of elevation.
11:00pm: Yoga is like glue.
7:05pm: Trail running is hard, especially when you start out with a hill. I should go do it more. I noticed my trail running shoes are starting to fall apart though, which makes me sad.
